The European School is presently serving 530 students from over forty countries around the world and is working at full capacity. It follows its own calendar from late July to late June, breaking every nine weeks for a short vacation, so as to provide students as well as teachers with rest periods. Class sizes do not exceed twenty students, preschool through third grade have an extra teaching assistant. The school runs from 8:15 am to 2:45 pm. Kinder and preparatory have half-days.The European School is accredited by Costa Rica’s Ministry of Public Education as well as the International Baccalaureate Organization(IBO).
